How to play
- Start on 1 and draw one path through every cell.
- Pass the numbers in order and finish on the last one.
- Move across or down, never diagonally, and never through a wall.
- Every board has exactly one path.
Drag from the end of your path to extend it. Drag back over it, or tap an earlier cell, to rewind.
How to play Link, the number path puzzle
Link is a connect-the-numbers puzzle. Start on 1 and draw a single path that visits every cell of the grid exactly once, passing through the numbers in order and finishing on the highest one. The path moves across or down, never diagonally, and walls between cells cannot be crossed.
A new board goes live at midnight in your time zone. Grids grow from 6×6 to 8×8 through the week, and harder days add walls and give fewer numbers.
Strategy tips
- Work the corners and dead ends. A cell with only two open neighbours must be entered through one and left through the other.
- Never strand a cell. If a move would cut off a pocket of cells the path can no longer reach, it is the wrong move.
- Use the walls. Walls make corridors, and a corridor usually has only one way through.
- Plan from both ends. The path must finish on the last number, so the cells around it often fill in backwards.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there only one correct path?
- Yes. An exhaustive path counter checks that every board has exactly one path that works.
- How is this different from puzzles that join pairs of numbers?
- Those draw a separate line between each matching pair. In Link a single path joins every number in order and fills the whole grid.
- Can I play more than one a day?
- Endless mode has unlimited number path puzzles from Easy to Expert, and the archive keeps every past daily board. It is free, with no account.
