How to play
- Place every domino so each one covers two neighbouring cells.
- Each coloured region follows its rule: a number is the total pips; < or > means less or more than it.
- = means every pip count in the region matches; ≠ means they all differ.
- Plain cells have no rule. Every board has one answer.
Tap a domino to pick it up and again to turn it, then tap where its first half goes. Tap a placed domino to lift it back.
How to play Dominoes, the daily domino puzzle
Dominoes is a logic puzzle played with a small set of dominoes. Place every domino from the tray on the board so that each one covers two neighbouring cells. Coloured regions carry rules about the pips that land in them:
- A number is the total of all the pips in the region.
- < and > mean the total is less or more than the number shown.
- = means every pip count in the region is the same.
- ≠ means every pip count in the region is different.
Plain cells have no rule. A new board goes live at midnight in your time zone, growing from five dominoes early in the week to eleven on Sunday.
Strategy tips
- Start with the extremes. A one-cell region showing 0 or 6 has only one possible pip count, and a large total across two cells leaves few choices.
- Check the tray. Every domino is used exactly once, so a pip value that appears on only one domino can only go one place.
- Mind the shape. Each domino covers two neighbouring cells, so an awkward corner can only be filled one way.
- Combine = and ≠. An equal region next to a different region quickly narrows which dominoes can bridge them.
Frequently asked questions
- Does every board have one answer?
- Yes. Only one arrangement of pips fits each board. If two dominoes could swap without changing any pip, both count as correct.
- Is it free?
- Yes. It runs in any browser, with no account or download.
- Can I play more than one a day?
- Endless mode has unlimited domino puzzles from Easy to Expert, and the archive keeps every past daily board.
